What is "lifestyle" photography?
Lifestyle photography is all about capturing the candid moments. It means that we will focus on capturing you as a family to really show your personalities and how you interact with one another. We will start your session getting your traditional posed photos out of the way. But after that, it's all about capturing the connections you share with your family and loved ones.
Where and when do the sessions take place?
All sessions take place during 'golden hour' which is about an hour prior to sunset. That's how we accomplish the soft, golden look in your photos.
I love places with trees, fields, wild flowers, and other scenic views. I have a few favorite spots I'll recommend, but if you have a location that is special to you, I'm all ears!
How long until I receive my photos?
Your proof gallery will be delivered in an online gallery via email within 2 weeks of your session date. From there, you'll get to choose all your favorite images from the session. You can always upgrade your gallery if you fall in love with more images! But once you make your selection, I go through and put the final touches on your images. Your final gallery will be delivered within 7-10 business days of when you made your selection.
Can I share the images on social media?
Yes, please!! I'd love for you to share your images online. My only request is that you please tag my business page on Facebook or Instagram.
Can I add filters to my images when I receive them?
Absolutely NOT. Per your signed contract and our agreement, images are not to be altered in any way.
What if my child is uncooperative during the session?
With kids and little ones, that is always a likely possibility. These photo sessions aren't meant to be perfect. They are meant to show to love and connection your family shares. So if your little one is just not in the mood, that's okay! Some of my favorite photos of kiddos are when they're just being themselves. That's the beauty of capturing lifestyle photography. We will all do our best to play and have fun and hope that they want to join on the fun too!
Do I have to order prints through you?
I use a professional lab for my photos. That way, your images will maintain the same quality you see on your computer. However, once you have a print release, you're free to print your photos wherever you'd like.
I'm stressing! What else should I expect?
Our sessions are all about bringing the fun and capturing memories. But with every booked session, I also include a guide that will give you more info on what to expect during your session, how to pick a location, and a style guide. I want our time together to be as stress-free as possible, so leave it all to me and just come ready to have a good time!
