The G. Family

An Adoption Journey

I wasn't kidding when I said I have the privilege of capturing some incredible families. Meet the G. Family! They have pure hearts of gold. Before I even met them for our session, they told me that this would be their first family photo session. But as I read on, it became clear why. Erin and Derek are actually (still) in the process of finalizing their adoption of these two beautiful girls. Erin is a teacher (like myself) and you wouldn't find a better suited pair to be parents. The love they have for their girls runs so deep and was so obvious in our time together. Because of COVID, their adoption has been put on hold, but soon they will get to make things official and I'm so excited for them. You can tell that these four were meant to be together.

Their girls are so full of personality and so opposite. One is sassy and outgoing and the other is bubbly and sweet... the perfect combination and made my time with them such a treat. We couldn't stop laughing! The girls even got the opportunity to pick up my camera and snap some pics of mom and dad. I think they have a future in the photography business! Our time was spent playing, running, and embracing those silly personalities. We got a lot of great photos for our sunset session and I cannot wait to work this crew again.
